Groveport, Ohio

Selling a house in Groveport

Southeast of Columbus, a small old village core with warehouses and newer housing grown up around it.

Groveport keeps a genuinely old centre, some of it nineteenth century, with newer housing and a lot of logistics development around the edges. The older housing near the middle of the village is a different proposition from the subdivisions.

Old houses come with old-house problems: foundations, wiring that predates most standards, additions that were built by whoever was cheapest at the time. If that describes yours and you would rather hand the problem over than solve it, that is exactly the kind of house I buy.

Condition is not a problem

The kind of Groveport house I buy

Nineteenth and early twentieth century homes in the village core, plus later subdivision housing. Additions of questionable origin, settled foundations and mixed wiring are all things I expect rather than things that scare me off.

  • An old house with problems that keep uncovering more problems
  • An inherited village property
  • A landlord ready to be finished
  • A vacant house you are paying to insure and heat
