Gahanna, Ohio
Selling a house in Gahanna
Northeast, along Big Walnut Creek. Generally well kept, generally well loved, and that changes what selling looks like here.
Gahanna is not a distressed market and I am not going to pretend it is. The housing is largely sixties through two-thousands, colonials and splits and some newer construction, and most of it has been looked after. If your house is in good order and you are not in a hurry, listing it with an agent will usually get you more money than I will, and I will tell you that on the phone rather than waste your time.
What I do get called about here is the other kind of sale. A house that has been in one family since it was built and is now forty years behind inside. An estate where the people inheriting it live somewhere else and do not want to project-manage a renovation from another state. Those are worth a conversation.
Condition is not a problem
The kind of Gahanna house I buy
Sixties to two-thousands colonials, splits and ranches, usually structurally sound and cosmetically stuck in another decade. Original kitchens and bathrooms, carpet over hardwood, a finished basement that has not aged well.
- An estate after a long single ownership
- Heirs who live out of state
- Divorce, where a clean date matters more than the last few thousand
- A house that is sound but needs everything cosmetically
